Meet Imran

Imran Fun

I was born in London, England, and spent my early childhood in India, where I was lovingly raised by my maternal grandmother. I immigrated to the United States with my family and grew up in Sun Valley, California, near Burbank. From preschool through high school, those formative years helped shape my values, work ethic, and aspirations.

My passion for technology began in junior high school when I received my first computer, a Commodore 128. What started as curiosity quickly developed into a lifelong interest that guided my academic and professional journey. After my marriage, my wife, Reshma, and I pursued our Master’s degrees in Information Systems at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, further strengthening our commitment to the field of technology.

While living in New York, I received an unexpected opportunity to interview for a Project Manager position at Wolters Kluwer in Manhattan. Accepting that role proved to be a pivotal moment in my career, laying the foundation for future leadership opportunities. During this time, Reshma also built her career as a Project Manager at Dealertrack. As we prepared to welcome our first child, we chose to return to Los Angeles in 2008 to be closer to family and raise our children in a supportive environment.

Shortly after returning to California, I joined Amgen, but the project I was hired for was canceled during the 2008 economic downturn. The experience tested my resilience and adaptability, reinforcing the importance of perseverance during times of uncertainty. I eventually joined Kaiser Permanente, where I have worked for the past thirteen years, building a rewarding career dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and meaningful impact.

Beyond our professional lives, Reshma and I have remained deeply committed to community service through our involvement with nonprofit organizations for more than two decades. Caring for our own parents and in-laws over the years gave us firsthand insight into the challenges many seniors and their families face. We recognized a need for compassionate, culturally sensitive elder care within our community and felt called to make a difference.

That calling led us to establish Amanah Senior Living. More than an assisted living home, Amanah represents a sacred trust – a promise to provide elders with dignity, compassion, respect, and a true sense of belonging. Every resident is treated like family, and every decision is guided by the values that have shaped our lives.

Looking back, my journey- from India to California, from technology to senior care – has been defined by resilience, continuous learning, faith, and a commitment to serving others. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and remain dedicated to creating a meaningful impact through both my professional work and our mission at Amanah Senior Living.

Our Philosophy

Care that Honors. Service that Uplifts.

TRUST

We honor the responsibility families place in us. Every resident receives care rooted in empathy, respect, and transparency — because trust is the foundation of everything we do.

WELL-BEING

Beyond physical care, we focus on emotional and spiritual wellness. Whether through meaningful conversation, shared prayers, or thoughtful routines, we support the whole person.

FAMILY

Our small setting allows for genuine connections between residents, families, and staff. We build relationships, not just routines — because here, everyone matters.
